E.G. TEC “Easy Crimp” splice offers mechanical and environmental protection for fibre optic joints.

The aluminium crimp splice is coated with an adhesive mastic, and simply folded around the spliced fibres, using a crimping tool. It does not require the application of heat after fusion splicing.

The splice loss is unaffected by using the crimp splice protector.
