E.G. TEC heat shrinkable splice protectors are constructed from three parts:

  • An outer tube, which is heat shrinkable.
  • An inner tube, made from EVA glue.
  • A reinforcement element: a stainless steel pin.

The whole construction is pre-shrunk in order to provide protection for the fibre optic fusion splice, and transparent in order to see the fusion point.

RIBBON SPLICE SLEEVES - 40 MM

E.G. TEC ribbon splice protectors are constructed from three parts:

  • An outer tube, which is heat shrinkable.
  • An inner tube, made from EVA glue.
  • A reinforcement element: a ceramic component.

These are designed to be used with fibre optic ribbons of up to 12 fibres.
